The City of Pelham is currently accepting applications for the full time position of Manager On Duty for the Pelham Civic Complex & Ice Arena. This job involves managing the recreation establishment to provide entertainment to the public by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees, such as, but not limited to:
- Managing nightly operations and part-time employees; maintaining optimal functionality of two ice rinks and banquet hall; maintaining assignments and work schedules for part-time employees.
- Responsible for nightly clean-up; ice resurfacing; assessing problems and situations to handle to completion; forklift operation; snorkel lift operations
- Responsible for support of banquet set up and breakdown for functions and events; setting up stages, sports floor and basketball floors, set up and removal of rink board.
High school diploma or GED required. One to three years supervisory experience preferred with organization skills, assigning and directing work, performance reviews and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Valid driver’s license required.
Salary and benefits beginning at $36.000.00, depending on experience, education, and other training.
