Facilities & Landscape Management Department Maintenance Tech
The City of Pelham is currently accepting applications for a full time position of Maintenance Tech with the Facilities & Landscape Management department. This job involves manual labor of some semi-skilled and unskilled nature including both heavy and light physical labor in a wide variety of city activities as it relates to routine maintenance of the City’s infrastructure, such as, but not limited to:
assist with landscaping and groundworks crew; this includes planting shrubs, flowers, pruning, sodding, etc.; assist in application of herbicides and pesticides; Other assignments may be made by the supervisor in any other field of skilled labor as it pertains to operating machinery, i.e. mowers, trimmers, etc.
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum six months general labor experience in the area of use of tools and equipment in lawn maintenance and repair work. Must possess and maintain a valid Alabama driver’s license.
Salary and benefits beginning at $26,587.00 depending on experience, education, credentials and certifications.
