Pelham is located in the central portion of Alabama, 15 miles south of Birmingham. It is located in the state’s fastest growing county, Shelby, and has over 5,500 businesses, a two-to one advantage over its nearest competitor in the county. In terms of median family income, Shelby County made the top 500 wealthiest counties list according to 2000 Census data.

The city enjoys a wonderfully mild southern climate. Temperature ranges are:

  • Winter: Highs 50’s – Lows 30’s
  • Spring & Fall: Highs 70’s – Lows 50’s

New sub-divisions are being developed at a rapid clip to keep up with high local demand.
