  1. School Supplies Drive

    The Pelham Public Library is hosting a school supplies drive for the Shelby County Foster Parents Association, which will help students in foster care in Shelby County. Donations can be dropped off at the library or at the Pelham Rec Center. Acceptable donations include new school supplies, packages of new underwear and socks (children’s sixes xsmall to xlarge), and new or very gently used backpacks.

    While the Pelham Library is temporarily closed to inside traffic, Linda Reynolds will host online Zoom meetings with those who want a better understanding about how to navigate Medicare! Does Medicare confuse you? Get answers at this seminar provided by Linda Reynolds, an independent insurance agent with 15 years’ experience. The presentation simplifies complex issues such as the Medicare parts, enrolling and more. Hundreds age into Medicare each month in this area.     Local artist Bo Hughins teaches a stand-alone drawing class for teens. This program will be made available with Zoom (a web conferencing platform). Email registration is required for admittance. Ages 10 - 18.
